Tyrrell Hatton plays on the European Tour. The English golfer qualified for the 2010 Open Championship as an amateur, but ever since, he has become a much more talented player, now competing in professional tournaments.

Professional Career

Before Tyrrell Hatton joined the Challenge Tour in 2012, he actively competed at the Jamega Pro Golf and the PGA EuroPro Tours. He has managed to bag a win for himself in each of these tournaments. He enjoyed his first professional win at the Woodcote Park Golf Club on Jamega Tour. That was not all; he went on to gain his second win at the Caversham Heath, still under the Jamega Tour. The professional golfer then achieved his first win on the PGA EuroPro Tour at Frilford Heath Golf Club and then followed this success with a win at the Your Golf Travel Classic at Bovey Castle.

The professional golfer competed at the Challenge Tour in both the 2012 and 2013 editions. He recorded good performance where he tied for the 2nd position in the Foshan and Kazakhstan Open in 2013. He competed in the2013 edition of the Challenge Tour, and with this performance, he qualified for the 2014 edition of the European Tour. The professional golfer tied for the 2nd place when he competed at the 2014 edition of the Joburg Open. However, even though the second slot would have accorded him entry at the 2014 Open Championship, he failed to clinch an entry because the tiebreakers are resolved using world rankings. He went on to compete at the Aberdeen Asset Management Scottish Cup where he tied for the 4th position and qualified for the 2014 edition of the Open Championship.

He tasted his first win on the European Tour at the Alfred Dunhill Links Championship title held at St. Andrews. This performance elevated his ranking to top 35 on the Official World Golf Ranking. Hatton’s record as a professional golfer is looking good. He has 5 professional wins under his belt.
