Dustin Johnson is an American golfer currently playing on the PGA Tour. He is the current number 1 on the Official World Golf Ranking after winning the 2017 edition of the Genesis Open. He also won the U.S. Open 2016 edition, which was his first major championship win at Oakmont Country Club with a score of 276.

The professional golfer also finished in a tie for position two at the 2011 Open Championship and the 2015 edition of the U.S. Open. The golfer’s record boasts of 5 World Golf Championship victories, and he made history for being the first golfer to win each of the four major championships in the golf calendar.

Dustin Johnson was born in 1984 in Columbia, South Carolina. Before turning professional, he actively played collegiate golf at Coastal Carolina University, where he won the Monroe Invitational and the Northeast Amateur in 2007 as an amateur. He also participated as a member of the winning teams in the 2007 Walker Cup and Palmer Cup. He made history as the first golfer since Tiger Woods to win in each of the first seven seasons after going professional.

The golfer turned professional in 2007. He earned his PGA Tour card in 2008 when he finished in a tie for the 14th position, and this was at the 2007 qualifying school. He competed at the turning Stone Resort Championship organized in upstate New York and he took home the win for that event, which was his first PGA Tour event. The second win came four months later when he competed at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am. He finished the 2009 season at position 15 on the PGA Tour money list.
